Background

One of the world’s largest plastics, chemicals and refining companies in the world, located in Pasadena, Texas has been partnering with Swagelok Southeast Texas since 2012.  They are a leading producer of chemicals including, but not limited to, ethylene, propylene, tertiary butyl alcohol, methanol, and acetic acid. Intermediates and derivatives from this company find use in numerous everyday applications including fuels, automotive fluids, furniture and household goods, coatings, adhesives, cleaners, and even cosmetics and personal care products.

As a partner, we understand when maintenance is required, time and cost are key factors involved. That’s why Scott Breaux, a Technical Advisor with Swagelok Southeast Texas, began conversations early with the company about how turnaround projects had typically been done in the past; the challenges involved and started working diligently on developing a plan to address their challenges.

Background

Brian Cianciolo is the Director of Continuous Improvement & Fulfillment at Swagelok Southeast Texas (SSET).  Brian joined SSET in August of 2010 after working at Swagelok's corporate headquarters in Solon, Ohio as the North American Distribution Manager for twelve years.

Many of the strategies and processes Brian incorporates enable Swagelok Southeast Texas to optimize internal performances with the end goal of delivering value to customers.  Having clear strategies that result in eliminating inefficiencies; improving quality, productivity and accuracy, help the company respond to customer's needs.

Brian plays a vital role in effectively deploying continuous improvement and lean processes across our three sales and service centers.

There is one valve that performs well in a variety of systems and applications – The Swagelok 60 Series Valve.  Up to 850°F with metal seats or 600°F with PEEK seats, this valve is ideal for applications when zero leakage and frequent operation are demanded.
